ABOUT ME 

 

Janine Hartmann is truly a multifaceted entertainer known by her fellow dancers as 'Beasty.' She is an actress, dancer and singer born in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents are both from the beautiful country of Guyana and relocated to New York in order to provide a better life for their children. Their strength has influenced her to be the change that she wants to see in the world. 

 

Through her experience, she has been a member of "Eccentric Flow" dance team and Pretty Big Movement LLC and it has honed her choreographing and dancing skills. Janine was a principle dancer at the 3rd Annual Female Hip Hop Awards (2014) and in recent years she has branched into acting and directing. She has been feautured in HBO's Looking and lead actress in upcoming director Rain Zheng's Underappreciated.

 

Along with achievements in the art field, Janine received a B.A. in International Trade from the University at Buffalo and achieved several accomplishments with Johns Hopkins Center for Talent Youth program and Next Generation Venture Fund. She is currently attending Academy of Art University for a MFA in Acting. 
 

She will be seen as Specialist Smith in Gloria A. Downey's upcoming film Forgive Me Father and will make her directoral debut with The Vagina Monologues at the Academy of Art University. In addition to these great triumphs, be on the look out for Pretty Big Movement appearing on the new season of America's Got Talent!
